Many players will lead the K with the west Hand. With that lead declarer wins the A and plays the
J . West wins the Q and now declarer gets a heart ruff to make his contract. With all 3 outside suits covered and 3 rags in trump, a trump lead is unlikely to cost a trick. Lead a trump at trick 1 and then when you cash your heart winner a second trump back eliminates a heart ruff and defeats the contract.

Partner bid Hearts and we have some nice hearts with an honor sequence. So we lead the Q . Declarer promptly takes his A , ruffs a heart, Plays the A, ruffs a club and plays another heart to ruff in dummy. Declarer now loses a diamond, a heart, and a spade to make his contract.

But now let's lead a trump. Partner wins the A and promptly leads back his 9 and declarer will loss an additional 2 heart tricks as there is no place to park those 2 extra losers. (or trump them). Down 2 for 300 and a top)
